Everyone knows Planet of the Apes, the movie. With Charlton Heston's oft-quoted lines and the famously spoiled twist ending, the film has entered the American lexicon. Less known, however, is the original novel that inspired the 1968 motion picture. Join Stuart in this episode of Books and Nachos as he reads and reviews the book as a companion to Now Playing Podcast's bonus, limited Planet of the Apes movie retrospective.
Then head to Now Playing Podcast's donation page to hear the movie retrospective! The movie podcasts are only available until July 31, 2014!
