Dr. Max Parikh, Chief Surgeon at Nvision La Jolla/San Diego joins eHealth Radio and the Eye Health & Health News Channels. Dr. Parikh specializes in Lasik and cataract surgery; which is the most effective treatment for the elimination or reduction of myopia.

Dr. Parikh has been a board-certified ophthalmologist for more than 9 years and has performed more than 12,000 LASIK procedures, including many for NFL players on the San Diego Chargers. He was one of the first west coast surgeons trained in custom Wavefront treatment technology. He also specializes in LASIK, PRK, LASEK, cataracts, intraocular lenses, custom LASIK, intrastromal corneal rings (Intacs), and CK.
Dr. Parikh graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, Irvine. He received his M.D. from the University of Michigan Medical School. He did his residency at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary/Mount Sinai and then returned to the west coast for his cornea and refractive surgery fellowship.
In his spare time, Dr. Parikh teaches principles of ophthalmology and refractive surgery to fellow doctors and surgeons. But when he is not doing that, he spends time with his family in the great outdoors of Southern California.
