The sermon for the eighth Sunday after Pentecost, July 10, 2016. The sermon text is based on Luke 10:25-37. The theme this week is: Followers of Christ love their neighbor.
Today's Focus: The believer loves his or her neighbor. We have every reason to love them. We know what we were when God found us; we know the love and mercy he poured out on us. Christ, the compassion of God, has treated our spiritual wounds and paid for our healing with his own blood. As we have known his goodness, let us do good to all. The word is planted in our hearts, and now we ask the Holy Spirit to bring forth such fruits of faith as loving our neighbor for the sake of Christ.
Sermon given by Mr. Luke Hendricks. Mr Hendricks is the Elder of Worship at Trinity Lutheran.
