GET RICH QUICK
Walking in Wisdom - Part 7
Pastor Holly Russo
Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm. (Proverbs 13:20)
INVESTING IN RELATIONAL RICHES
1. The Friend To Have
One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. (Proverbs 18:24)
A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity. (Proverbs 17:17)
Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends. You are My friends if you do what I command you. (John15:13-14)
2. The Friend To Avoid
- The User
The poor are shunned even by their neighbors, but the rich have many friends. (Proverbs 14:20)
- The “Good Times” Pal
Putting confidence in an unreliable person in times of trouble is like chewing with a broken tooth or walking on a lame foot. (Proverbs 25:19NLT)
- The Gossip
A perverse person stirs up conflict, and a gossip separates close friends. (Proverbs 16:28)
- The Constantly Offended or Easily Angered
An offended friend is harder to win back than a fortified city. Arguments separate friends like a gate locked with bars. (Proverbs 18:19)
3. The Friend To Be
- The Inspiration
As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. (Proverbs 27:17)
- The Honest
Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses. (Proverbs 27:6)
- The Peacemaker
Don't pick a fight without reason, when no one has done you harm. (Proverbs 3:30)
- The Noble
A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. (Proverbs 31:10-11)
