MOVING FROM CONFLICT TO HARMONY
Matthew 18
1. Adjust Your Attitude
Matthew 18:3 - Then he said: I promise you this. If you don’t change and become like a child, you will never get into the kingdom of heaven.
2. Have A Private Conversation
Matthew 18:15 - If your brother or sister in God’s family does something wrong, go and tell them what they did wrong. Do this when you are alone with them. If they listen to you, then you have helped them to be your brother or sister again.
3. Invite The Wisdom of Others
Matthew 18:16 - But if you are unsuccessful, take one or two others with you and go back again, so that everything you say may be confirmed by two or three witnesses.
4. Leave It With The Lord
Matthew 18:17 - If the person still refuses to listen, take your case to the church. Then if he or she won’t accept the church’s decision, treat that person as a pagan or a corrupt tax collector.
Romans 12:18 - If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
5. Walk In Agreement
Matthew 18:19 - Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. [20] For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.
