Sermon - October 2, 2016 - Christians Do Their Duty

The sermon for the twentieth Sunday after Pentecost, October 2, 2016. The sermon text is based on Habakkuk 1:1-3, 2:1-4. The theme this week is: "Christians do their duty".

Today's Focus: Christians do their duty.  It is the believer's duty to abstain from sin, give forgiveness, and serve our neighbor.  It is a privilege to do our duty as Christians, but we are weak.  The Church, therefore, prays that God would make us ready to do with a cheerful heart that which pleases him.
