A little while back I had Preston Smiles on my podcast. One of the biggest lessons that has stuck with me from that conversation is celebrating your emotions vs. punishing them.
Preston said when anger, depression or temptations pop up for him, he says he doesn't judge them the way most people do. Rather he celebrates them. He'll utilise the anger, or he'll acknowledge the sadness he's feeling.
