Today's guest Dr. Walter Cooper is the Superintendent of Cheyenne Mountain District 12. Walt and our host explored what is needed at the K12 level to prepare the next generation of cyber talent for the work force. We cover many areas from Cyber internship programs to specialized training to prepare our youth for the real world. Walt says is the most important thing for today's students would be to help them find what is relevant in the world of endless data they find surrounding them.
Dr. Cooper made several references to a summer cyber internship program that was provided to high school students in partnership with the Cyber Resilience Institute. This Sports ISAO program was not only a great success but was enjoyed by many of the students that took part.
