Job’s friends come over to “comfort” him while he is suffering. And, as the old saying goes: “With friends like these, who needs enemies?” Why do some Christians love to pile on when someone is going through a tough spot? Why does everyone insist that if God is not blessing you, it must be because of hidden sin in your life. Is there any truth to this? Or could it be that God put the book of Job in our Bible exactly because he wanted to teach us about this kind of thinking…?
