We're back in 2016 with our first show of the year, and we give an extensive review of The Hateful Eight, Making a Murderer, a breakfast sandwich maker, an egg maker, the powerball lottery, and an Oregon Standoff. Try to listen to the episode before Matt's back hair grows back.
Our friend, Chaunty Spillane took some artistic nude portraits and is selling them as wall art for $5000. Matt would have paid $30 at most, while Dave says he'd rather buy an album of nudes from Cam girls for $30. We saw the Hateful Eight, which Charles describes as "Detective Western, Feel Good Summer Blockbuster Murder Mystery with an M. Night Shyamalan twist". While Joe and Matt argue that does not accurately describe the movie, Charles counters that it was exciting they read the letter that Samuel L Jackson gets from Abraham Lincoln in the movie. Matt brings up the debate about violence on women in the movie, but Dave says it's ok if it's for comedic effect.
We found a review of the breakfast sandwich maker Joe gave Charles for Christmas last year. The video, starring Chef Alton Brown, says it's a terrible device, and Charles agrees, and says he will continue never using it. Alton Brown also suggests that you should never use the device called a Rollie Eggmaster. Matt and Joe watched Making a Murderer, the new Netflix documentary and agree that people shouldn't be jumping immediately to say he's innocent. Dave suggests this is a further call for tort reform. We talked the Oregon Standoff, and Joe is confused why they would take over a cabin that is so easy to destroy. We wonder if they will be called terrorists because they're white men with guns.
We discuss what we'd do with the large powerball winnings, and Charles says that he would create a job for Dave to earn a lot of money, but Dave says that it sounds like torture. Joe is relieved when Dave says he would not take any money from Joe because of his pride. Matt brings in a video, a bad lip dub of Yoda and Luke Skywalker, that turns out to be another thorn in Dave's side.
