"The Value of Believing and Belonging to Christ" by Pastor Kevin Dibbley

This Sunday is already the last Sunday in June. The message will be on 1 Peter 2:4-8 and is entitled: Chosen and Precious: The Value of Believing and Belonging to Christ. As you know, one of the big and most successful marketing campaigns of the past 20 years was MasterCard’s use of the word “priceless”. Who hasn’t heard the line: “There are some things money can’t buy. For everything else, there’s MasterCard”? Peter reminds believers that in a world that devalues their faith and faithfulness to Christ,  and in a society that puts a high value on so many other things, the greatest privilege and honor is to belong to and to live for Christ, the choice and precious cornerstone. Seeing and savoring the all- surpassing worth of Christ is crucial to living hopeful and holy lives in a hostile world.
