Genesis 25:24-26
Bryan Jones
Beginning this morning, we are going to spend three weeks looking at the story of Jacob. From the outside it looked like Jacob had a pretty good life. He was wealthy and successful. But on the inside Jacob’s image of himself was broken. He was a guy who was filled with doubts and insecurities.
Jacob spent most of his life trying to fix this belief that he didn’t quite measure up. He lived in the shadow of his brother, Esau, who was his father’s favorite. In order to get his father’s blessing, he tried to become someone he was not. But in spite of Jacob’s scheming and deceit, God still chose to bless him.
