James 1:1-4
Dr. Gary Singleton
Sometimes it’s good to get back into a routine ... back to the basics. That’s certainly true when it comes to our faith. There are times when it’s good to make a restart ... to get back to the basics of following Jesus. This morning we’re going to start a study from the first chapter of James. Even though James was the half-brother of Jesus, he didn’t grow up believing his brother was God in the flesh. But when James came face to face with Jesus after the resurrection, something changed. James experienced a restart in his relationship with Jesus. James tells us that one of the basics of our faith is that we need to have the right perspective on the trials we face. We learn from James that trials are a joy when God is your goal.
