Last year I had the honor of attending TEDxLA and listening to one of the most incredible speaches I had ever heard. One of the speakers blew my mind, her name was Anousheh Ansari. She was strong and calm but most importantly she was an astronaut. Like millions of other kids she had drawn pictures of spaceships. But for her, drawing that picture of a space ship as a kid was much more than just a drawing. It was a dream, and nothing could stop her. It was a long journey of 30 something years, but whatever her life took her she never gave up on her dream. 2006 she made it and blasted off for an 11-day space expedition and captured headlines around the world as the first female private space explorer, first astronaut of Iranian descent, the first Muslim woman, and the fourth private explorer to visit space. Today we will Dream Big with Anousheh Ansari.
