Can I Get a Witness?
Life on Purpose, Part 3
The Bible doesn’t provide detail about how the Apostle Peter died. It’s a commonly accepted church tradition that Peter was crucified in Rome upside-down on an inverted cross, per his request. Because he had denied his Lord, he did not consider himself worthy to die in like manner. The Bible doesn’t confirm or deny the story although we know Peter’s death was prophesied by Jesus in John 21:18-19. Peter’s denial of our Lord stands in such strong contrast to this week’s lesson about living as a witness for Christ. This week we discuss 4 Ways to be an Effective Witness for Christ from the Apostle Peter. It’s part 3 in our series: “Life On Purpose.”
