Beware the Siren's Song of Quitting.
The temptation will be there.
Quitting doesn't play fair.
It will be strongest when you are at your most vulnerable.
You won't even realize that you are doing it.
You won't think you are quitting.
You will think you are "taking a break".
It will be a huge relief at first.
You will feel the weight of commitment lifted off of your shoulders and you will feel relieved.
With the accountability of your commitment not hanging over your head, you will believe that you made the right decision.
Herein lies the danger.
You have not made the right decision.
Your "break" is the first stage of quitting.
As you start to pull out of your commitment to yourself, you begin the process of quitting and failing.
You must resist.
When the temptation is greatest, and you are at your weakest, is when you need to be the strongest.
You will need to go back to your "why".
Why did you begin this journey in the first place?
Why is being in shape and healthy important to you?
How good does it/did it feel?
How bad did it feel to be weak? To be unhealthy?
You don't want to go back there.
You must resist.
The temptation is temporary.
The temptation to quit is defeated by action.
Recommit.
Adapt, adjust and overcome.
You must.
You were not put on this planet to quit.
You were put here to make a difference.
People who make a difference, DO NOT QUIT.
