EuroParlRadio's editor Karen Coleman talks to the Fine Gael MEP Brian Hayes about the European Parliament’s proposals to create a single, clear and fair EU corporate tax regime. In a vote today in the Parliament, the vast majority of MEPs supported two reports. The first was the “Common Consolidated Corporate Tax Base” (CCCTB) which is part of a wide-ranging proposal to create a fair EU corporate tax regime. The second report creates the basis for a harmonised corporate tax system known as the Common Corporate Tax Base (CCTB). In the piece he refers to Paul Tang who is the Dutch MEP who’s been very critical of Ireland’s tax policies and who is the author of one of the reports voted on today (CCTB).
