Satsang with Swami Shankarananda
Religion & Spirituality:Spirituality
The mind is "many-pointed," like the spikes of a porcupine's coat. It jumps and moves in many directions. Your job is to focus the mind, to make it one-pointed, and to eliminate obtrusive thoughts. When you repeat the mantra watch your reactions. There will be a never-ending flow of thoughts and feelings. Watch them, and keep repeating the mantra. Meditation is the time when you can allow your thoughts to come and go. Sit as if you were watching a movie, wihiile lightly concentrating on repeating the mantra.
Swami Shankarananda repeats the enlivened mantra of the Sri Nityananda Lineage, 'Om Namah Shivaya,' from the CD of his best selling book Happy For No Good Reason. Purchase at The Sri Nityananda Ashram Book Shop.
