It's an exciting time as we announce an unprecedented move by the State of Colorado to legislate requirements to use Blockchain in State Governance programs. Our Guest today, Trace Ridpath, is the Director of Security Governance for the Colorado Governor's Office of Information Technology. Back in 2017 we interviewed Colorado Senator Kent Lambert who was in the process of introducing the bill to require the use of BlockChain to create transparency and accountability in government programs. Today we are happy to say, it is law in the state of Colorado.
Trace talks about the struggles governments have with consistency, and some of the places that Blockchain will be applied to provide uniformity between agencies and transparency to the public. On his list are Real Estate, Medicaid, Identify management, DMV Records, Food Safety, and more that we did not discuss. This new direction begins today, and as Senator Lambert first voiced on NFC-SR9, Colorado is set to be a global leader in blockchain for government.
