Welcome and thank you for listening. This episode features Katie and Gwen from Plantpositiverunning.com. I stumbled upon their YouTube channel of the same name and was hooked. They are two of the most positive people I have met in a long time. They are both quite the ultra running athletes and have podiumed several times in 50 mile and 50 K events. They have run 100 miles in less than 12 hours. Gwen just set a Guinness Book of World Records by running 100 miles in full firefighter gear including the boots! They decided he should attempt this feat to gain attention for their newly formed 501C to promote a plant positive lifestyle. They focused this event on cancer prevention. Not only did Gwen run the 100 miles but they provided the community an opportunity to taste healthy plant food and run along side of him.
The doctor/chef/videographer/recorder messed up a little this episode trying to push buttons, cook, and lecture at the same time. So bare with the segment pieces recoded live from the nutrition class and following during a podcast interview.
