Charles Frimpong* speaking at SARD-SC Rice Value Chain Internal Project Completion Review Workshop
Stakeholders of the rice value chain component of the African Development Bank (AfDB)-funded ‘Support to Agricultural Research for Development of Strategic Crops in Africa (SARD-SC)’ gathered together at the Internal Project Completion Review Workshop, 3–5 May 2017, AfricaRice M'bé Station, Bouaké, Côte d’Ivoire, to discuss the achievements made for improving rice productivity and competitiveness in the project countries as well as share experiences and lessons learned. The SARD-SC project was implemented from 2012 to 2017 to raise the productivity and profitability of cassava, maize, rice and wheat, which are among the six strategic crops selected by African Heads of States for Africa. AfricaRice executed the rice value chain component with national partners in 11 African countries.
