This week, Kelley, Jaime, and Gabe discuss the appeal filed by Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine challenging the ruling from the Sixth-Circuit Court of Appeals. The court recently blocked John Kasich's 2016 plan to defund Planned Parenthood.

While DeWine is attacking women's health providers, Rich Cordray is listening to non-profit initiatives working to reduce infant mortality by offering pre- and postnatal support. ROOTT and Moms2B were two specific groups included in a community roundtable at the Franklin County Public Health headquarters. After that event, Cordray said extra resources are needed to address the problem and can only come from Medicaid expansion. Read Dispatch coverage.
