Taoiseach's media comments “good moment” to look at significance of journalism– McGuinness

The Taoiseach’s comments on the Irish media may have inadvertently sparked a debate about the significance and future of journalism in Ireland.

That’s according to the Fine Gael MEP Mariead McGuinness. She says the pressures journalists face today make their work very challenging.

And she adds the media have exposed very important stories through investigative journalism.
