Kinsmen Radio Interview

So who says staying faithful to the Lord doesn’t pay off?! I’m sorry to disappoint you but these men of God will not only tell you staying faithful to the things of God pays off, they’ll tell you how God has blessed them in each one of their lives. The Kinsmen are my guest on Real Gospel and I’ll speak with Kevin and Van from the group. This family group consists of two brothers and cousins who not only grew up in church but have been singing together for years. Their song Born Again takes us back to that old school sound but with a new school twist. You’ll hear how groups such as “The Mighty Clouds of Joy” and “the Canton Spirituals” were a great influence on them as well as what it was like to sing with them.

The music of “Kinsmen” is a contemporary, Inspirational Gospel, with strong emphasis on contemporary and inspirational, as their sound is not that of the traditional “Church” music. “Kinsmen” offers something to suite everyone’s tastes. They have shared the stage with artist such as, R. Kelly, Destiny’s Child, Earth, Wind and Fire, Mary J Blige, The Isley Brothers, Kirk Franklin, and many, many more. They have performed for thousands and have won numerous awards honors. Even before they were discovered they were opening shows for BeBe and CeCe Winans, The Thompson Community Choir, The Soul Stirrers and Commissioned. They have recently shared the stage with Fred Hammond, God's Property, Karen Clark-Sheard, Trin-i-tee 5:7, and many others. “Kinsmen” will not only inspire listeners of all walks of life, but will undoubtedly take Gospel and R&B into a whole new light.
