Hey Kids, Comics! #281 - Family Reunions: Off the Bat

Families.  

The ones you are born into you can't pick in advance.  To a large degree the same holds true for the ones you marry into, by and large.  But then there is the family you choose.  A term generally reserved for friends, but sometimes it encompasses colleagues, allies, cohorts, and other supporters who become as close as flesh and blood.

In this new arc, Andrew Farmer and Cole Houston spotlight five super-hero "families" that are prevalent in comics and have considerable history.  As this exploration begins the focus is on the so-called Batman Family.  Perhaps the most dysfunctional and, at once, high-functioning of these four-color families, those that Batman allows to into his inner circle are a fiercely loyal and tough as nails bunch.  Discover the curious nature of Gotham's first family as "Family Reunions" takes off like a bat out of...well, DC Comics!
