Uncommon Sense: Wisdom from Proverbs
August 19, 2018
Our summer days are slipping away. August is half gone and Salem’s end-of-summer celebration, The Oregon State Fair, is coming up fast! That means our summer sermon series, Uncommon Sense, has just a few weeks left as well. We’ve learned so much from the Book of Proverbs over the last couple months. If you’ve missed out on any of the goodness we’ve been gleaning, consider catching up by listening to the podcasts posted on the Dayspring website or on iTunes. This week we’ll be taking a look at what Solomon has to say about parenting. And whether you are in the throes of chasing toddlers or facing the challenges of competing with a cell phone for your teen's attention, there is a lot we can learn from the wisdom writer. Perhaps your kids are all grown up, and you’re an empty nester. Or maybe you are still waiting, aching for the opportunity to be a parent. No matter where you are in your own personal journey, there is wisdom in the Book of Proverbs to be found for all of us on how to shape the next generation.
