Subversion is a necessary part of living in your Wildness. By definition, Wildness is living in the vibration of your unique expression, leading a life that reflects that uniqueness, and one that often (if not always) resists the dominant narratives of society. Today I am joined by Blair Eckensen, the creator behind The Subversive Supper, a blog that details her journey of creating and living on a modern homestead with her family, where she practices intentional living, radical homemaking, and subverting the system that be to nourish herself and her family.
In this episode we explore:
-Food justice, and it's importance in elevating our planet, as well as taking back control of how we nurture ourselves
-How to subvert the way you eat everyday, with easy tips and tricks on how to start your own mini food revolution
-The role of food in our lives, and how to heal our relationship with it (especially as women)
-How to be in recovery from the things that numb us out, and create more disconnection within ourselves (like alcohol, social media, being busy, etc), and why it's important
-the difference between authentic gratitude and forced positivity, and why being with your uncomfortable parts is what starts the change within you
And MUCH more!
Blair's BIO:
My name is Blair and I write about my journey on our modern-day women-run homestead at thesubversivesupper.com . I am a mother to my daughter, a wife to my wife, a woman in recovery, a seeker, dreamer, maker, lover … I believe that living an intentional life, and caring for yourself so that you may be present and whole, is a radical and subversive act in this brutal world that we live. I believe that a life well lived is one that creates more than it consumes.
