MIRACLES STILL HAPPEN: WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU FACE AND INSURMOUNTABLE MOUNTAIN (MARK 11:20-24)
MILAGROS TODAVIA SUCEDEN: QUÉ HACER CUANDO TE ENFRENTAS A UNA MONTAÑA INFRANQUEABLE
Pastor Maria Khaleel
Jesus cursed a barren fig tree, and less than 24 hours later, to the disciples’ astonishment, they see the tree withered away. It suggests that although they heard him declare the tree lifeless, they did not really believe it would happen. That is why in vs. 20-24, Jesus addresses the issue of faith and doubt. Jesus said the tree would barren and lifeless, but initially the tree was still full of green leaves, and appeared to be flourishing, until the next day.
So how do we respond when the Word says one thing, and our circumstances say something else? Jesus tells us to have faith in God, and we will be able to speak to a mountain and command it to be cast in the sea, and if we do not doubt it will happen. This miracle teaches us what to do when we face and insurmountable mountain.
