Back in 1986, a lot of fantastic thrash was being released. It seemed like there was a never ending supply. One of the best releases that year was FLOTSAM AND JETSAM's Doomsday for the Deceiver. It's the only album to ever score 6K's on Kerrang Magazine's rating system. Thirty years later, it still holds up with the best of them. To celebrate this landmark anniversary, we invited guitarist Michael Gilbert and vocalist Eric AK to discuss the early days of the band, how they got signed to Metal Blade, and we go through every track in detail. We also talk about the album cover, the original concept, and the (lack of) touring for the album.
