MESSAGE SUMMARY: What have we, personally, sacrificed for the Gospel? Some of us have lost jobs, friendships, and family members because of our faith. What have you sacrificed for the gospel? We cannot earn our Salvation by our actions like standing up for our faith – Salvation is provided by God though His Grace and our faith. Paul, in Philippians 2:8-11, posits the Gospel’s intended impact for followers of Jesus: “And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.". However, there is a joy to us when we sacrifice something in our lives for Jesus and the Gospel rather than always living for ourselves. What have you sacrificed for the Gospel – Jesus gave His all for you?
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Anxiety. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Peace. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).
