Abraham lived in the land of promise as a temporary visitor. By faith, he had seen something more eccentric. A city architected by God has made all his earthly possession & pursuit pale in comparison. He adopted a different posture, that of a pilgrim in progress. likewise, the transient nature of our mortal existence should cause us all a ‘pause & ponder’ moment – sort of an existential crisis satisfactorily quelled by biblical teachings. This is not all there is, is it? Is there a prize for the Christian? What posture-modifying-city did Abraham see?
