A few weeks ago we talked about how the NHL needed to send a message to the Capitals' Tom Wilson for his predatory head shot on the Blues' Oskar Sundqvist (and they did, suspending him for 20 games).
Now here we are again, talking about another head-hunting menace -- this time on the football field -- in Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict. The NFL is looking at 3 plays from the most recent Steelers-Bengals game, one play in particular where Burfict appears to try and knock Antonio Brown out with a forearm/elbow to his head.
Burfict has been suspended and fined multiple times in his career. He is a dangerous, reckless player, with no regard for the rules of the game and the safety of others. He's cheap. He's dirty. And it's time for the NFL to take a page out of the NHL's book and drop the hammer on Burfict.
Also in Episode 5: NFL has gone soft on quarterbacks; LSU is building quite the resume; West Virginia proves polls are a sham; and let the kids -- even the older ones -- trick or teat.
We'll also serve up some more Hot Takes and Sausage, and we'll name our Jag of the Week.
