Mike Beauvais spoke over the phone with the current chaplain at the Diocese of Austin's Cedarbrake Retreat Center about his life as a Franciscan friar, the uniqueness of Franciscan spirituality and its charism of poverty. He also talked about his many years in China preaching and supporting the underground Catholics there. Finally, he gave some general spiritual direction to listeners in aiding their prayer life and effort to hear the call of the Lord.
