My Thursday Dhamma talk, streamed live at 7:15 pm Eastern US Time, will be the second of three talks on the meaning of becoming. This talk is on the Bhava Sutta. Even during the Buddha’s time, there was confusion regarding the meaning of becoming. Here, Ananda, the Buddha’s cousin and chief attendant asked for clarity:

“In this way karma is the field, consciousness the seed, and craving the moisture” (Bhava Sutta)
