We watched the eighth episode of Doctor Who, Series 11: “The Witchfinders” on Saturday, December 8, 2018.
King James I is known for, among other things, sponsoring the translation of the Bible into English (i.e., the King James Version), and his fascination with witchcraft.
Graham was right: he was quoting Tarantino (Samuel L. Jackson’s speech from Pulp Fiction)…
“The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.”
... not Ezekiel 25:17 (King James version):
“And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them.”
