In Hebrews 4:15 we read, 'For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect was tempted, as are we, yet without sin.' Through Jesus temptation we learn that 1) He sympathizes with our struggles, 2) He conquers the enticement of sin, 3) He has proven there is a way of escape, 4) He demonstrates the need for preparation, 5) He exposes who the real enemy is, 6) He was preparing for His ministry (to allow himself to be crucified for our salvation), and 7) He emerged 'Battle Tested', proven ready for his mission. As with Jesus, temptation in our life can grow us to be 'Battle Ready' and develop a stronger faith, a stronger relationship with Almighty God.
