The childlike wonder and joy of Christmas can be demonstrated by snow globes. It doesn’t take long before the lights on a Christmas tree don’t do it for us anymore. Christmas gets more stressful and complicated, and the childlike wonder of the season is replaced by real life worries. We are going to uncomplicate Christmas, to get back to the simple wonder and power of it’s true meaning. One of the names given to Jesus is the Hebrew name Emmanuel which means God with us. Those three words sum up the simple yet profoundly powerful meaning of Christmas. They change everything. Today, I’d like us to focus on each of those words to really understand the life changing power of Christmas in our lives.
