In Luke 17:20-21 Jesus declares to the Pharisees the Kingdom of God is within you. He declares it does not come with observation, but behold it is within you. The question we should ask and seek from our Father, is how does the Kingdom of God come? Many of us have looked for the Kingdom of God to physically appear before us, whatever our concept may be.
To understand the coming of the Kingdom let us consider the very powerful words of Jesus in the Parable of the Sower and the Seed. You can find the parable of the sower and seed in Matthew 13, Mark 4, and Luke 8. Jesus says within this parable that He is speaking of the "Mystery of the Kingdom of God."
Mark 4:10"And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable. 11And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: 12That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them."
We could come to the conclusion through here that the seed of the parable produces Gods Kingdom. Remember Jesus said the Kingdom of God is within you to the Pharisees. How it gets within us is that that a seed is sown in our hearts, according to the parable of the Sower and the Seed. The seed that is sown is the Word of God.
Luke 8: 11"Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God."
Jesus also shows the Kingdom through the parable of the Mustard seed, which is the smallest of seeds when it is sown. This mustard seed starts out as least of all seeds, but when it grows up it becomes greater than all the herbs. Through these parables He is showing that a seed (the Word of God) is sown in our hearts to grow up, or produce from the seed within us. If we can hear it, the Kingdom comes through this sown seed that is sown into the hearts of men, and as it grows the man it is sown in begins to be influenced by the Kingdom of God and brings forth the fruit of the Kingdom within them.
Hebrews 12 says we receiving a Kingdom. Again this shows we receive. It comes within us as we receive that of Christ Jesus our Lord. From the scriptures it appears not to simply be God's mind that we receive the Seed, but that we bring forth fruit (fruit of the Spirit). Prayerfully look at the scripture concerning the parables before the Lord. Blessings!
