Third Eye Cinema 10/13/13 with Nige Rockett of Onslaught

This week on Third Eye Cinema: Nige Rockett of UK thrash pioneers Onslaught! Predating not only fellow British acts, but just about any thrash band worldwide, Onslaught delivered their legendary Power from Hell album all the way back in 1983!  Progressing quickly from their punk rock roots to a more streamlined metallic sheen, they shifted roles internally to add aggressive vocalist Sy Keeler for their second record The Force, still considered one of the greatest releases of the genre to this day! Following some major label interference and a brief run with Grim Reaper vocalist Steve Grimmett, the band called it a day.  But nearly 15 years on, they reunited for a string of notable releases, each more pummeling than the last.  With their latest, simply titled VI, Onslaught show themselves to be more ferocious and unrelenting than bands less than a third their age!
