Nugget 01: God Is Bloody FOR You

From the city that brought you the factory of sadness now comes the House of Bliss Podcast! 

 

This week I am introducing you to "Nuggets." Since the main episodes take so much work with all their bells and whistles we will release them every other week. For the the weeks in between, I will do a short bare-bones style teaching. Sometimes it's good to skip all the frills and just share my heart with you! You'll have to forgive me for the audio this week, it didn't turn out nearly how I wanted it. I felt so good about this take that I had to keep it anyway. Thanks for your patience as I continue to learn the art/science of audio! 

This week I got SUPER fired up so prepare to dive into the deep end! 

The blood of Jesus isn't to change God's mind about us, it's to change our shame riddled minds about Him! Some have an idea that God's Holiness means he cannot be around Sin. Yet one look at Jesus Christ blows that idea away. If Sin is a sickness then Jesus is the only healer! Does our wrong doing disappoint God and push him away? Far from it, it is actually the very thing that moved Him to take on human flesh! We can tell how mature we are in the love of God by how we think when something goes wrong. Do we immediately revert back to a version of God that needs appeasement? Or can we rest safe and sound in the arms of our Daddy? If we can't, we simply need to gaze deeply into the cross of Christ and let our shame be destroyed by His love!
