“Do I look more like Jesus today than I did yesterday?” That's the question we should be asking ourselves.
Colossians 3:16 tells us about the path we are to follow as we embrace our mission to make disciples. It’s a path that we call sanctification – growing to be more like Jesus and living on mission with Him. But believe me, it’s very easy to make sanctification all about us.
Do you ever feel like you will just naturally become more like Jesus if you do things like pray more and spend more time reading the Bible? Those are good things, and doing them will certainly move us along the path of sanctification. But it’s just as crucial that we grow in our resolve to live on mission with Jesus, and that mission is making disciples.
