Episode # 3047 – Meetings To Discuss The Sexual Abuse Scandals

TGIF everyone and Father Anthony, Cristina, and Tony are here with us today after a few weeks absence.  Friday Feeling is in the air and one of the major things coming up is Lent in two weeks, with Father Anthony discussing the preparations to celebrate that.  At the same time, Father Anthony, Cristina, and Tony talk about recent things mentioned and going on in society.  This week, Father Anthony shares that yesterday was the Feast Day of Saint Peter Damion and today is the Feast Day of The Chair of Saint Peter and with these two Feast Days in mind, a special meeting has been called and is going on in Rome with the Pope and  selected Bishops.  They have gathered to discuss the sexual abuse scandals within the church.  Father Anthony shares some of the ramifications and responses with this, including how sexualized society is these days and all around us in one way or another, as well as what they are discussing at these meetings.
