In his recent article for the Drop, Nick interviewed a quartet of high end Mid Atlantic area pitchers to pick their brains on what it takes to be a successful wiffleball pitcher. Diving off of that, this episode of the Drop Podcast explores several pitching-related topics. Borrowing from a question asked on the pilot episode of “The Cut Off” podcast, we discuss whether we think wiffleball pitchers can be developed from scratch. We also look at some pitching strategies and whether the rise of the short reliever in Major League Baseball could find its way to competitive wiffs.
