MARCHING ON: Nehemiah - Push Back (pt 5)

When carrying out God's work, pursuing 'God Dreams', expect 'Push Back'!  Nehemiah 4 illustrates 6 ways the enemy opposes children of God.

1. Abuse with language
2. Questions your motive
3. Attacks your ability
4. Mocking your effort
5. Destroy your credibility
6. Public humiliation

Nehemiah's response however, is amazing and is a great example for every Christian.  First, he prays to God for vindication. Next, he continues the work of God, building the wall, and ignoring the opposition (not being sidetracked).  When you experience push back, here are 7 additional Biblical responses to incorporate in your life:

1. Don't quit: Galatians 6:9
2. Dig in deep: 1 Corinthians 15:58
3. Employ empowerment: Daniel 1:8
4. Spin it for good: Genesis 50:20
5. Consider the source: Proverbs 27:6
6. Call for divine vindication: Psalm 43:1
7. Take the high road (be humble) because God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble: James 4:6-7
