The Crisis that Confronts Us
In one week South Africa heads to the polls for national elections. It is a volatile and violent time with daily strikes, riots, vandalism, burning of trains, buses, police stations, destruction of property, wild fires and attacks on farmers. What is at stake? Where do the different parties stand on the issues confronting us? Where is South Africa headed? How reliable are the elections in South Africa? How independent is the IEC (Independent Electoral Commission)? What are the dangers ahead? What opportunities are there for Christian work and witness in this volatile and violent time? Is there hope for the future? How best can we pray? What can we practically do to work for Reformation and Revival in the strategic missionary-sending country of South Africa?
“So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it…”
