On today's episode we chat with Katherine Zavodni, registered dietitian/nutritionist who specializes in eating disorder treatment, intuitive eating, chronic dieting and weight concerns, and family and childhood feeding dynamics. Hearing Katherine speak is like a breathe of fresh air when in comes to breaking down barriers of disordered eating. Katherine has an amazing way of articulating positive and welcoming language and encouraging mindset around food and accepting our bodies. You can find health at any size. As she says, "Our bodies are an ally, not an enemy. Your body has the innate wisdom to guide you towards your best health and fullest life. Finding and trusting that wisdom changes everything." Katherine's work began when she noticed a flaw in the eating disorder treatment program and has been passionate about changing the way we speak and treat those with disorders. During our chat with Katherine we tackle some tough questions around family meal time, how to handle a picky eater, and understanding the roles of a parent/child relationship when it comes to establishing food values.
