Welcome to Episode 3 of Season 2 of Adapted with Anna and Sam! In this episode, a very special guest joins Anna and Sam, to gush over Diana Wynne Jones' 1986 novel, Howl's Moving Castle, and its 2004 Studio Ghibli adaptation of the same name. Listen as Anna's sister Jess schools us on how to summarize a story, Anna doesn't attempt a Welsh accent, and Sam accepts her lot in the family pecking order.
You can find all the cast lists and other fun trivia on iMDB.
Purchase the book and/or movie at Amazon and/or Barnes and Noble, or your favorite indie bookstore, or borrow from your local library in person or via Overdrive. (Please support your local library!!)
Jess Recommends (Diana Wynne Jones edition)
--Castle in the Air (sequel to Howl's Moving Castle)
--Dogsbody (standalone scifi/fantasy to make you cry about stars and dogs and dogstars)
--The Chrestomanci Chronicles (a series of novelettes, each can be read in order or as standalones)
--Unexpected Magic (a collection of short stories to get your feet wet)
