Warning — this episode of The Talk of the Street contains segments that feature frank discussion of Tim’s Dad, who by any measure has officially become one of the more dastardly characters on a show that also contains a free-wheeling liar in the shape of Robert, whose efforts in keeping Irish Tina and Michelle unaware of each other are starting to creak under the strain of so many spun yarns, and Gary who we’re still expected to accept as the principal villain of the piece. Elsewhere, Gemma is tempted by the prospect of some easy, baby-related money, despite Chesney’s protestations otherwise, birthday boy Steve fails to satisfactorily construct a wardrobe and then is distracted by unicorns, and David concocts a novel way of putting Shona’s mind at ease ahead of next week’s sentencing. In other news, Maria has got to the point in her life where she’s spending evenings hanging out with Gail and Audrey, Emma gets lucky, and Craig is tired of being everyone’s Commissioner Gordon.
