What a start to the FAWSL it’s been following a successful opening weekend for all clubs. It’s now all about carrying the positives from the weekend forward & to help continue to grow the women's game.
In this week's podcast I chat to City fan Paul Clark about the success our record breaking weekend & hope's for growing future attendances. I also catch up with Dave from @MCWFC_OSC as we look ahead to the weekend, as City make the trip to Adams Park where Reading will host our first away fixture in the WSL off the back of their recent win against Liverpool. Dave provides match day information for travelling fans.
We look back to Saturday & the Manchester Derby. City were able to pick up their first 3 points of the season. It took a world class strike from Caroline Weir early in the 2nd half to break the deadlock. United certainly put in a performance worthy of recognition & made it difficult for City at times, it was inevitable it was going to take something special to unlock the United defense as they fought hard throughout, with the best of the opportunities coming from the United in the first half. We spoke to fans at the Etihad on Saturday Blue & Red to get their thoughts on this momentous game.
