Listen to this podcast that looks at the remarkable story of how one person overcame tragedy by building bridges for peace and reconciliation in our communities here and around the world.
Jo’s father Sir Anthony Berry was killed in the bombing in the Grande Hotel in Brighton during a Conservative Party Conference. To try to understand this Jo sought out the perpetrator of that bombing, Patrick McGee when he was released from prison after the Good Friday Agreement.
They came to an understanding and became friends and both have now devoted their life to bringing people together in dialogue to resolve conflict and create understanding. They have worked tirelessly at doing this in Northern Ireland and have also worked in the Middle East.
Here we can listen to Jo’s story and how she believes by addressing our common humanity we can overcome even the most horrific of conflicts.
